John Dwyer has been married to his wife Zena for over four decades.
He retired as Assistant Chief Constable in Cheshire after a 30 year career which started in Nottinghamshire, followed by a transfer to the West Midlands as a Chief Inspector. He was Assistant Chief Constable in Cheshire before taking retirement and leaving the policing family.
He was the first Police and Crime Commissioner for Cheshire from 2012 - 2016, and was re-elected to the office in May 2021.
His three year term runs from 2021 - 2024.
