KEEPING COMMUNITIES SAFE
Friday 28th October
My consultation on the draft Police & Crime Plan is now well underway and continues until the end of the month. The consultation has already been across Cheshire at events such as Chester Pride and in town centres in Crewe, Congleton, Knutsford and Neston.
The roadshows will continue across the county until the end of the month to try and get the maximum breath of views as possible and you can find details of upcoming events on the events page.
If you have not had chance to join the conversation on the Plan yet, then you can access the online survey and give me your thoughts.
We are now coming up to Hallowe’en and Bonfire and for those of you that don’t already know Cheshire police and fire service will be working closely in partnership to keep our communities safe. The next couple of weeks should be a great time for everyone in our communities to enjoy. Unfortunately a minority of people take advantage of this time of year to commit anti-social and criminal behaviour which means that for the Constabulary and fire service it is one of the business times of the year.
You can find out more on both the Constabulary and Cheshire Fire Service websites alongside 'Trick or Treaters Welcome' or 'No Trick or Treaters Please' posters which are available to download and information on how to have a safe Bonfire Night.
I would urge everyone to act responsibility, take the advice from the policing and fire professionals and most of all have a safe and enjoyable time!”
The next month or so will see the finalisation of my Police & Crime Plan 2016-21 and the continuation I my work with the Chief Constable to turn the plans into action for our communities. I will keep you updated.
