Published: 29 June 2022
Police and Crime Commissioner for Cheshire, John Dwyer, is holding a public meeting on 15 July 2022 to discuss concerns that have been raised by residents surrounding speeding and anti-social behaviour on the Congleton link road.
The Commissioner has received correspondence from local residents about the issues their community is facing, with many concerned that the behaviour from some drivers will eventually lead to an accident on the road.
The meeting will be held on 15 July 2022, 5pm-7pm at Congleton Town Hall where the Commissioner will be joined by representatives from Cheshire Constabulary and Cheshire East Council. You can reserve your place here.
Police and Crime Commissioner, John Dwyer said:
“A significant number of concerns have been raised about the behaviour of a number of drivers that is taking place on the Congleton link road. Residents shouldn’t have to live with the worry that it is creating.
“Making Cheshire’s roads safer is a priority in my Police and Crime Plan and I am committed to working alongside residents, Cheshire Police and local representatives to protect all road users.”
Attendees are encouraged to submit questions in advance. If you cannot make the meeting, you can still submit a question which will be answered directly following the meeting.
