During the visit, the PCC discussed the new police station as well as detailing his plans for his first Citizens Assembly which he plans to launch in the town later this year.
Police and Crime Commissioner, Dan Price said:
“This was my first visit to Crewe LPU and it was interesting visiting all of the different departments in the police station, gaining an understanding of the types of incidents they are being faced with.
“I shared the information I had picked up from residents about their local issues, and explained my vision for my Citizens Assembly which will help to produce a community policing plan for the Crewe.”
Eastern Area Commander, Superintendent Claire Jesson said:
“It was a privilege to welcome the new PCC and one of the new Deputy PCCs to Crewe LPU. They gained a real insight into the policing challenges faced by our team daily.
“It was refreshing to hear from Dan, who highlighted some of his experiences and shared with us his priorities moving forward. We had a positive discussion on tackling violence against women and girls’ particularly around domestic abuse.
“He also shared his plans for his Citizens Assemblies which he is looking to pilot in Crewe. This is an exciting prospect, and we look forward to hearing more details.”
