The Police Reform and Social Responsibility Act 2011 enables the Commissioner to award grants to organisations or groups that will support the achievement of community safety priorities in Cheshire.
The specific crime reduction grants which will be made in 2022-23 are outlined below. The services delivered from these grants will be monitored in order to ensure that the outcomes set are achieved. The outcomes framework, which was developed with partners, will be used in monitoring delivery and to inform the Commissioner's approach to commissioning in 2023-24.

The grants outlined above do not make up the total funding for these areas of activity but represent a contribution to funding provided by the borough councils and other partners, such as drug intervention funding.
All projects which receive a grant under Crime and Disorder reduction grants are subject to monitoring and evaluation. Each project will agree three measures at the outset which they will then report against. A copy of the reporting form can be found here.
Cheshire Youth Justice Services and Substance misuse services are required to provide quarterly qualitative and quantitative information about the services they provide and the numbers accessing their services.
