There are various ways that you can get involved with the Commissioner's work and help your community in Cheshire.
There are lots of ways you can take part and help the Cheshire Police and Crime Commissioner’s (PCC) work and help your community. Whether you want to share your views, volunteer or attend meetings, there’s something for you.
Why getting involved matters
Your experiences and views help shape how policing and community safety work in Cheshire. Getting involved means your voice can influence priorities, help hold the police to account and make sure services reflect what local people need.
Have your say
You can share your views on policing, community safety and priorities (amongst other topics). This helps to shape the Police and crime plan, budgets and other decisions.

Meetings and events
The PCC holds a number of meetings and events. Some of these meetings are publicly available to view online.

Volunteering
You can volunteer to help the PCC’s team and support policing in Cheshire. Volunteer roles include things like:
- Call Management Auditor – reviewing how calls are handled
- Independent Custody Visitor – checking on people in police custody
- Police Dog Welfare Visitor – making sure the police dogs are well looked after.

Cheshire Youth Commission
The Cheshire Youth Commission provides the Cheshire Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) with the views of young people across the county.
