Dan Price was elected as Cheshire Police and Crime Commissioner in May 2024.
Dan has a background in engineering and has lived in Cheshire all his life. He has served in public office as a councillor for over a decade and thrives in bringing new ideas and energy to public service.
He is a keen advocate of prevention and intervention with the aim of creating thriving communities. Ensuring community voices are heard and are part of the solutions will enable Dan to deliver in his role as PCC.
He is married to his husband Alessandro and enjoys going on walks with his two dogs.
Over his term, his work will be separated into three key pillars, which correspond to his Police and Crime Plan.
These pillars are:
- Reduce crime – focussing on prevention and intervention and ensuring the public have an accessible and responsive police service.
- Listen to the public – focussing on locally informed policing priorities and support for victims and survivors of crime.
- Modernise – focusing on technology and innovation and a fit for purpose policing estate.
