Help shape fair, ethical and accountable policing in Cheshire

Ever questioned a policing decision, or felt like no one is really asking the difficult questions about ethical issues facing policing?

This is your chance to change that.

We’re looking for new members to join our Ethics Panel, an independent group that reviews real ethical issues in policing and challenges how things are done.

Why join?

  • Receive detailed briefings on a range of ethical challenges facing policing and have your opportunity to shape how things could be done better
  • Have your say on issues that matter – from the use of stop & search to Artificial Intelligence in policing and the use of live facial recognition
  • Bring a different perspective, especially if you’ve  traditionally been a little sceptical about how policing is delivered
  • Challenge senior leaders and influence real change

What’s involved?

  • Up to 6 evening meetings a year (in-person at Police Headquarters in Winsford or online if required)
  • This is an independent, unpaid role but travel expenses will be covered

If you:

  • Are not afraid to ask tough questions
  • think differently
  • aren’t afraid to challenge the system,
  • are representative of a community that isn’t always heard.

If you’d like to have an informal chat please call 01606 364000.
