Independent Ethics Panel

The Independent Ethics Panel provides advice on ethical issues in policing. It is a joint panel set up by the Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) and Cheshire Constabulary to promote good practice and support ethical decision-making.

What the Panel does

The panel considers ethical issues affecting policing (Cheshire Constabulary) and the work of the PCC.

It:

  • discusses difficult or sensitive topics
  • provides independent advice
  • promotes high standards of behaviour and decision-making
