Crime and disorder reduction grants

What the grants do

These grants provide funding to local authorities, youth justice services and other partners to support work that reduces crime and disorder in their areas.

For 2024-2025, the following community safety funding grants have been allocated as follows:

These grants represent part of the funding for local crime reduction efforts. Local authorities and partner organisations also contribute through other funding streams, such as drug intervention funding.

How it works

• All funded projects must meet agreed upon targets – three outcome measures are set at the start of each grant and progress is regularly reviewed.
• For certain services, including Youth Justice Services and Substance Misuse Services. Quarterly reports (both data and qualitative feedback) must be submitted, showing how many people are being helped and what difference is being made

Why this matters

The grants help local authorities and partner services take action where it’s most needed: preventing crime, reducing anti-social behaviour, supporting vulnerable individuals and supporting early intervention.

By working closely with borough councils, youth services and community partners, the funding helps ensure that efforts to make Cheshire safer are coordinated, monitored and effective.
