Cheshire Constabulary Chief Constable
Applications are now being accepted for Cheshire's new Chief Constable. Applications should be submitted by 12 noon on Thursday 5th November 2026.
Are you forward-thinking, innovative and passionate about the benefits that technology can bring to keep one step ahead of criminals in Cheshire?
The next Chief Constable of Cheshire Constabulary will join us at a pivotal moment in policing. Devolution and national police reform against a backdrop of ever-evolving ways that crime takes place, mean that Dan Price, the Police and Crime Commissioner, is looking for someone who can challenge the way policing has been traditionally delivered.
He is seeking someone who can see the areas that will benefit from innovation and modernisation – to catch and keep up with the way the world operates today and in the future. All whilst exploring a workforce combining the best mix of police officers, staff and volunteers to deliver a sustainable police service of the future.
The successful candidate will have experience as a Chief Constable, Deputy or Assistant Chief Constable (or equivalent rank) and a proven track record of leading with integrity and inclusivity. They will lead by example, be visible and approachable and must be able to engage and build strong and meaningful partnerships externally and internally. Communicating a clear direction to build on Cheshire Constabulary’s successes, whilst setting a positive and inclusive culture, is a must, promoting values, ethics and high standards of professional conduct.
